Is a design management and innovation consultant who recently established himself in Curitiba. Darragh graduated in Industrial Design from Loughborough University (UK) before working in design consultancies and manufacturing companies in both the UK and Ireland. He is one of the founding members of the Design Management Europe Award (DME) and has been appointed Ambassador for DME in South America. While he was a senior researcher at PDR (UK) he gained extensive experience in implementing design support programmes for companies and research projects for the European Commission, including Winnovate and ADMIRE.
Originally a graphic designer, Gisele has worked at the Design Center Paraná in Curitiba, Design Council in London and in Design Wales in Cardiff. She established and coordinated the SEE project, a European network for the development of policies for design innovation. A graduate from UFPR she also gained a Masters from Brunel University and a PhD on design policy from the University of Wales. In academia, Gisele currently works for Positivo University teaching at the undergraduate and postgraduate courses. She also teaches in several other postgraduate courses. She is currently a board member of Centro Brasil Design (CBD).
Project Manager, Design Researcher
Sara studied product design in Caracas, Venezuela before continuing her studies in Curitiba and she is also graduated on Branding. She designed packaging for FMCG companies while working for KOMM design in Curitiba and worked on strategy & product planning during her intership at Volvo Trucks. She gained valuable experience creating design capacity within a company during her placement at WAP. Sara is applying her broad experience in DUCO where she is managing projects and working on design research for both policy development and private consultancy. Sara is currently a board member of ProDesign (professional association for design in Paraná, Brazil).
Graduated in Graphic Design at Federal University of Parana, Carolina is currently completing a graduate programme on Business Management at FAE Business School. Carolina was recently a visiting student at Cambridge School of Art, England. She worked for the department of Communication and Sustainability in HSBC Brazil, has experience as a graphic designer for both national and international design studios, as well as practice on developing brand positioning research. Her interests include Service Design, Brand Management and Design Thinking.
A graduate in graphic design at the Federal University of Parana, Bolívar is currently completing a Master’s program, also at the Federal University of Parana in Information Systems Design. He has studied design at the Köln International School of Design (Germany) and has experience both as a graphic designer and as a design researcher. His research fields include information design, design management, public health and public speaking.
Guilherme has a Bachelor degree in Product Design from Positivo University, Curitiba, and is currently attending a postgraduate course there in Service Design. For a recent project he conducted research on the utilisation of service design techniques by the public sector in the city of Curitiba. Guilherme has experience in developing brands and he is also a member of the organizing committee for the global event Service Jam, in Curitiba.
