Associação de Apoio à Dermatite Atópica (AADA)

In this project, we worked with AADA to prepare a funding proposal under the call for “Telehealth Solutions in Atopic Dermatitis for Improving Education and Patient Care” funded by Pfizer.
With the goal of developing an online platform that would enhance the partnership between doctors and patients, seeking better outcomes in the treatment of atopic dermatitis, the proposal was approved and the project began in mid-2022.
DUCO conducted patient surveys, interviews, online meetings, and a two-day multidisciplinary collaborative workshop adapted from the Google Design Sprint method. As a result, a platform was created that functions as a diary, allowing patients to record and share their symptom history with their doctors, enabling more assertive and personalised treatment.

E-atopic is an app that brings together several important features for mapping atopic dermatitis symptoms, such as daily records of sleep quality, diet, severity of itching and skin inflammation, use of medications and treatment products, among others. The app also provides detailed patient reports and educational content to help patients better understand their health condition. To encourage engagement, the most advanced version of the platform features a gamification system that unlocks content and gifts, such as coupons and product samples.
